Why I’m Rebranding to My Own Name + Starting a Career as a Coach!
It’s crazy to think that this announcement has been almost six months in the making, but I am so excited to finally be able to share that I am re-branding my blog and website to my own name! I’m also sharing an exciting career change announcement so keep reading to see where I’m headed next!
I started thinking about rebranding early on in my blogging journey, towards the end of 2018 after I had been blogging for just a few months. I had just started writing and releasing my original poetry, and I wanted my name to be associated with it (not just my blog’s name). I was starting to feel like I wanted my name to be featured more prominently so I could take more ownership over my work.
I was also feeling a shift in that I didn’t want to only have a blog - I absolutely love blogging and I am definitely going to continue doing it for a long time to come, but I wanted something bigger...when I really went deep, I realized that I wanted to start my own business and have my blog be one part of that.
From Blog to Business
So, I am also so excited to finally be able to announce that I am on my way to becoming a life and wellness coach this year! I have been thinking about becoming a coach ever since I learned about it last year (I never knew it could be a career or even what it was before I started my blog and connected with some other coaches!) and I am so beyond thrilled (and nervous!) to start this journey.
I signed up for my wellness coaching certification course through Coach Training Edu and I will be starting it in August! I’m going to start taking clients on very soon, so if you’re interested in getting on the waitlist to coach with me, you can now sign up here. Make sure you’re signed up for my newsletter where I’ll be announcing FIRST when I’m taking on clients!
I absolutely cannot wait to become a coach and hopefully work more closely with some of you, my lovely and amazing readers! I would not be anywhere without you all - thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here and for supporting me. Even if we’ve never spoken, or you’ve never commented, or you’ve never reached out on social media and you’re a silent lurker (I used to be like that all the time) - I love and appreciate you (and I would love to chat so please reach out)!
As many of you know, rebranding and building a business is a lot of work, and I have learned so much along the way. But I have to thank two very key people who have helped me dream and without whom this re-brand would not have been possible.
The first is Sammi Scotto, who I found through a Facebook group for creative entrepreneurs and who posted one day that she was looking to expand her clientele and take on some clients in the wellness space. I was the first to comment saying I was interested, having already followed her on instagram and loving her vibe, and she got back to me right away that she would be happy to help me out.
Sammi helped me in so many ways, but she is also a beautiful designer and person who I would not be here without. She designed this incredible new site from scratch and took all of my beautiful new brand photos.
I cannot thank her enough for choosing me to work with, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things she does in her own business. Check out her website and services if you need help with website design, social media coaching, or you are looking to rebrand!
The second person I’d like to thank is one of my good friends Liz Sanders (also an incredibly brilliant designer, check out her instagram here)! Liz has been a creative inspiration for me for a long time, and it was an honor to work with her on my logo and a few other design elements for my site. Liz is so talented, so dedicated, and so wonderful - I am so lucky to have her in my life and I’m so glad she has been a part of this journey with me.
I’d lastly like to thank my wonderful husband who has been nothing but supportive of this whole journey and who has helped me so much already in launching my business. He has listened when I’ve needed to vent, helped me talk through key points of my business, and has offered me words of encouragement when I’ve needed them the most. I would truly not be able to start this business without him and I am so grateful he believes in me to make it happen. I am so lucky I married such a wonderful, caring, and supportive man.
I absolutely cannot wait to serve you all in even deeper and more meaningful ways, to take my advice off the page (or the computer screen, I should say) and help you put it into practice, all while cheering you on. And know that I am always cheering you on. I believe so much in your ability to grow and change - you are meant for such great things.
Thank you all so much for being here - you are the reason I do what I do. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings!
